Admission Procedure & Streams Offered

Fresh admission can be made in the school throughout the session. Admission to children of serving Army personnel coming on transfer  subject, however to the stipulation laid down by the CBSE in Class X-XII. Registration for admission to class I onwards for the academic session commences on February Ist each year and the following procedure is adopted:

(a) Parents wishing admission for their children are required to access school website Clicking on Online admission and registration they will get a registration number. At first they will get registered in Digicamp Registration Portal and get the registration ID. The same Id to be shown in the school premises along with documents photocopy.

(b) Students have to clear an admission test for admission to classes II-IX

(c) Admission test is held for English. Mathematics & Hindi  for cl. I to V and English. Mathematics , Hindi  and Science for cl. VI to IX.

(d) Admission in class X and XII is done on parents transfer only.

Admission to Class XI

School organizes provisional classes for class XI (all streams) after the class X board Exams. Students are motivated to join. However admission in class XI is confirmed after declaration of class x results on the basis of percentage obtained in class X and criteria laid of marks by AWES from time to time.

Age Limit

As per the Supreme Court verdict, a child who has completed the age of 5 years on 31st march of the year, is eligible to get admission in class I

Though the requirement of the Central Board of Secondary Education that the All India secondary Examination shall be open to pupils who have attained the age of 15 year on 30 September of the year in which they take the examination has been abolished with effect from the examination of 1983, the age of admission to various classes in Army Public School, is as follows:

Minimum Attendance Necessary for Annual Examination:

A pupil may not be allowed to take the annual examination if he/she has not put in a minimum of 75% of the total attendance of the academic session, including attendance in previous school if the student has been admitted on transfer. The Principal is authorized to condone shortage in attendance up to 15% in special circumstances meriting this concession e.g. illness etc., i.e. permit a student with 6% attendance to take the annual examination.


This new system which has been introduced has proved beneficial for the students. The evaluation is divided in 02 Summative assessments and 12 formative assessments (spread throughout the academic year).
